A08 Integrated Agricultural SystemsDr. Ray Allmaras engaged in soil and water conservation his entire life. His research was pivotal in understanding interactions among soil structure, plant growth, and environmental impact. He provided fundamental knowledge on conservation tillage in the Pacific Northwest and Midwestern states. His work has been extensively documented in the scientific literature and even after retirement, he remained active in soil science research. Ray was known for mentoring young scientists, working collaboratively with others, and enthusiastically exploring new ideas. This symposium is dedicated to his life-long scientific endeavors and his influence on today’s research.
