Oral Session
S06 Soil & Water Management & ConservationThe expanding need for renewable energy sources has focused attention on removal of crop biomass for use in cellulosic ethanol production. The impacts of these practices on soil function, water quality and environmental quality are important research topics which will be presented in this session. Many regional and national studies like the ARS REAP project (Renewable Energy Assessment Project)are evaluating the impacts of these practices on soil, water, crop and environmental processes.
