Field determination of long term acceptance rates (LTARs) for decentralized wastewater system design are based on soil morphology and site conditions in North Carolina. Often when soil and site conditions are considered unsuitable Ksat measurements are made to determine suitability. This paper compares field and in suit Ksat measurements to LTARs determined by soil and site conditions.
