Microarray analysis has been conducted to identify genes resistant phytoplasma in Arabidopsis and Poplar. In Arabidopsis, 1,765 up-regulated and 1,432 down-regulated probes were selected out of 37,438 probes. 247, 332, 463, and 723 probes showed up-regulated expression over 5, 4, 3, and 2 times in all 3 replications, respectively. In Poplar, statistical analysis has been conducted for 1,554 probes that showed up-regulation. 90, 175, 372, and 917 probes showed up-regulated expression over 5, 4, 3, and 2 times in all 3 replications, respectively. We selected genes those showed same gene ontology. These genes had 80%similarity in gene sequence between Arabidopsis and Poplar. From analysis of signaling pathway or/and metabolism of selected genes, we found out that these genes were involved in the signaling pathway of plant- pathogen interaction, Phenylpropanoid pathway, and SNARE interactions in vesicular transport pathway. Both RT-PCR and Real-time PCR have been conducting to confirm expression of these genes.
