Hydraulic tomography is a robust method for estimating the hydraulic characteristics of an aquifer. The efficiency of hydraulic tomography analysis was verified by numerical experiments and lad sandbox test. But there is few application of hydraulic tomography in a real aquifer. This study performed a sequential pumping test at a well site near the Cho-Shui river. When pumping water from a well the drawdown data was observed at the other wells. Each pumping test continued at least 48 hour to achieve steady state. Then the steady state drawdown data was collected as a drawdown data set. And then the pumping well was changed to start the other pumping test until all wells at the site were pumped. The inversion scheme, hydraulic tomography, with success sequential linear estimator (SSLE) was used to estimate hydraulic characteristics of an aquifer at the well site. The heterogeneous distribution of hydraulic characteristics was estimated. A new verification method which was called drawdown prediction was developed to examine the accuracy of estimation from hydraulic tomography. This study provided application method of hydraulic tomography for field estimation of an aquifer. The robustness of hydraulic tomography was proved again trough field test. And the future work of hydraulic tomography was also suggested in this study.
