Abstract:
Undergraduate agriculture students are working very hard to develop management plans for the transition to the newest Southeast Missouri State University farm location.  As the department of agriculture moves to the Agriculture Research Center, near Gordonville, Missouri, faculty are attempting to get students involved in planning decisions for the future of the farm.  Students enrolled in courses were asked to complete semester management plan projects as team assignments.  A few students were selected to help install the recommended plans by enrolling in an agriculture internship and research credits.  Not only is the Department of Agriculture providing experiential learning for students, but students are given a sense of ownership of the new farm development.
