Southwest Florida Organic Farm Tour

Organic agriculture has doubled in size in Southwest Florida over the last ten years. This tour will introduce participants to some of the premier organic farms in the area, featuring organic vegetable, fruit, herb and flower crops. Additionally, participants will view features of CSAs (Community Supported Agriculture farms), and how to market to Farmers' Markets, restaurants and institutions. A visit to a local Farmers' Market offering organic produce will complement the farm tour, including a lunch, featuring local, organic produce. Participants will learn organic farming techniques, including nutrient and pest management strategies.
