Oilsand operations rely on unsaturated soil cover system as part of the reclamation process. The spatial variability of physical, hydraulic, and thermal properties of the cover system must be understood in order to interpret performance. The variability of these properties and how they relate to the distribution of temperature and water was investigated. Results are indicative of the spatial variability across a reconstructed watershed.
