189 Symposium--Green Revolution 2.0: Critical Role and Contributions From Crop Physiology

Oral Session
C02 Crop Physiology and Metabolism

The symposium will revolve around the idea of the critical role of plant physiology for interdisciplinary collaborative research. We will encourage team presentations on topics: Physiology and molecular biology: critical role of physiology for gene function; Physiology and breeding: critical role of physiological screening for abiotic stress; Physiology and pathology: critical role of physiology for biotic stress responses; Physiology and agronomy: critical role of physiology for understanding mechanisms of yield formation; Physiology and remote sensing: critical importance of groundtruthing using physiology to the success of remote sensing; Physiology and modeling: critical understanding of physiological function for model improvement and validation.
