Poster Session
S01 Soil PhysicsSoil processes resulting in ‘soil change’ at anthropogenic time scales occur over a range of spatial and temporal scales. Assessing soil change requires appropriate measurements and model development at scales that support policy development and decision making. This session solicits presentations addressing characterization or modeling of soil change across scales, where change may result from management practice, altered land-use or human-induced climate change. Of particular interest is how best to determine dynamic soil properties, such as soil-water, -carbon, -nitrogen, -salinity, -microbial dynamics and -biodiversity. Presentations may include measurement or modeling approaches, combinations of models or fundamental contributions on scaling laws.
