Three levels of forest harvesting residues (full removal, control=non-removal, doubled residues) were disposed to evaluate effects of organic matter accumulation on mineral soil carbon. Two years after harvesting no difference was observed in soil carbon content among treatments and a generailzed decrease of 50% of initial soil C was modeled.
