This study examines the use of simple resistance measurements to monitor the depth of the saltwater - fresh water interface within a monitoring well. The measurement approach has the advantage of being very simple, with very inexpensive down-hole sensors. It may also give information regarding not only the location of the interface, but also the spreading about the interface. Results from a column experiment are shown and analyzed.
