Enhanced Efficiency Fertilizers are being well recognized for the opportunities that they may provide in increasing nitrogen use as well as improving crop yield potential under certain cropping systems. NutriSphere N is a relatively new chemistry that was introduced in 2007 by Specialty Fertilizer Products (Leawood Kansas). This paper reviews 8 site years of data developed from Land Grant Universities in the mid-west and east coast focused on grain corn. These field trials provide a diverse set of environmental conditions, soils and various varieties that should allow researchers, crop advisors and their growers a better understanding of when and where positive responses might be observed when incorporating NutriSphere N as part of a nitrogen management strategy. This paper will present information from KSU, NCSU, UTN, MN and the University of IL. Each of these studies provided statistically significant responses above similar fertility levels where NutriSphere N had not been applied. These responses indicate there is a place for NutriSphere N in the management of corn in various regions and under different soil regimes.
