Abstract:
Science and technology has historically been implicated as a major source of ecological degradation. This lecture explores the role rapid technological innovation in fostering the sustainability transition, with specific emphasis on agriculture. The lecture will use illustrations from advances in information technology, biotechnology and nanotechnology.
