Abstract:
In this study, the in-situ test and numerical model are used to investigate the properties of groundwater flow in Chou-Shui river in Jhu-Tang region, Taiwan. The storage and capacity of interflow are investigated in Jhu-Tang region. The purposes of this study are as follows. First, the feasibility technology of the interflow water exploitation is developed on the flood plain of Chou-Shui river. Second, the effect of groundwater resources due to pumping is investigated. Finally, the water quality, quantity, and self-purification of the interflow water are examined. The results are ultilized to assess the feasibility for water treatrment plant construction with a capacity of 40,000 CMD in Jhu-Tang region.
