Abstract:
Natural zeolite and calcined clay were amended at 0, 75, 100, 125, and 150 grams per 1 gallon container containing media mix formulated from composted pine bark, peatmoss, and sand (8:1:1 V/V) in a RCBDesign. Rudbeckia fulgida ‘Goldsturm’ plants were grown in controlled greenhouse for three months and fertilized with contolled release fertilizer Polyon at time of planting. Plant canopy were recorded weekly, plant upper and root biomass were recorded at initiation and end of the experiment. Total water volume drained from containers were recorded and nutrient loading were calculated biweekly.
