Nutrient Management Reporter for Maryland (NuMan Reporter) is Windows®-based software that facilitates the completion of annual nutrient management implementation reports. Some of the features of NuMan Reporter are that it (1) utilizes files from the Nutrient Management for Maryland programs (NuMan MD and NuMan Pro) and presents that information in a simplified manner so that farmers may confirm recommended nutrient application rates or input actual field nutrient applications, (2) saves input information in a file that may be subsequently edited, (3) prints input information on a field basis and overall summary basis, and (4) provides a direct entry version of the program to input crop and nutrient application information without previous use of other Nutrient Management for Maryland software programs. A fertilizer sub-component allows users to specify multiple applications of commercially-available or custom fertilizers and then the program calculates the N–P2O5-K2O land application rates. An additional function extends a combination of fertility practices to a large number of fields with the same crop and management. Once the user inputs nutrient management practices on agricultural fields, the NuMan Reporter program summarizes the quantities of each type of animal manure / waste product utilized on the farm. The software provides a summary for each crop grown on the farm with total quantities of N–P2O5-K2O and quantities of animal manure / waste product used for each crop.
