Oral Session

This session will include evaluation of the current state of GIS technology and applications in the area of environmental monitoring and assessment and present recent studies using advanced GIS approaches in environmental monitoring and assessment in areas covering heavy metals, nutrients, pesticides, hydrocarbons (oil), veterinary medicines and hormones, etc in the environment. Outlook: an agreed position on proposed standards and geospatial databases for advanced GIS applications in this area.
