VNIR scans (350-2500 nm) from ~500 crushed, sieved <2mm air-dry soil samples were used to develop predictive models for Bray 1, Mehlich 3, Anion Resin (24 hr.), and Olsen extractable phosphorous. Model R2 values were relatively low. Subsetting the data based on other soil properties (pH, OC, and others) resulted in limited improvement in some cases.
