49 Symposium--Reuse of Wastewaters: Land Application Issues

Land application of wastewaters is a valuable treatment option, both environmentally and economically, in large arid regions, domestic and abroad. Wastewater land application treatment is not new, but it is underutilized and poorly understood. This symposium topic will focus on technical (science and engineering), regulatory (local and state permitting), public (outreach), and operational aspects. The symposium will highlight examples of land application systems in the US and abroad.
