This field experiment was designed to look at survival rates of bacterial groups after addition of three nutrient sources to tall fescue fields.  The nutrient sources were inorganic fertilizer(I), poulty litter(PL) and dairy manure(DM) along with a control treatment(C).  Nutrient concentration in soil along with forage quality will be discussed in relationship to bacterial survival in soil and on plant tissues surfaces.
