Decreasing water availability has led to research on water use efficiency and deficit irrigation for cotton. Water use efficiency can be cultivar-specific, as well as depending on management practices. We tested the water use efficiency of twelve cotton cultivars at two locations on the Southern High Plains of Texas in 2010 and 2011. Water use efficiency was cultivar- and irrigation-specific.
