Abstract:
The Samuel Roberts Noble Foundation, Inc., headquartered in Ardmore, Okla., is an independent, nonprofit institute assisting farmers and ranchers through educational and consultative agricultural programs and conducting plant science research and agricultural programs to enhance agricultural productivity regionally, nationally and internationally. Founded in 1945, the scientists and researchers of the Noble Foundation focus on the improvement and production of forage crops, including grasses and legumes, for agriculture and livestock production systems. The Noble Foundation was founded and endowed by one man, Lloyd Noble, and continues today as a consequence of the leadership of Mr. Noble’s family. The Noble Foundation is the legacy of a single man, his vision and his concern for the sustainable maintenance of the land. Today, the Noble Foundation maintains a state-of-the-art research campus, employs more than 360 employees, representing more than 25 countries, and operates more than 12,000 research and demonstration acres.
