Abstract:
Phosphate rock deposits are found throughout the world. Approximately 30 countries are producing phosphate rock for use in domestic markets and/or international trade. This presentation attempts to give an overview of past and present world phosphate rock production, provide a general assessment of world phosphate reserves and resources, and identify conditions likely to affect further exploitation of phosphate rock deposits on a worldwide basis.
