How does one become an entrepreneur in soil science?  As a founder of three successful companies, I will provide my experience on how to start a corporation related to your expertise in soil science.  In my view, the life cycle of a successful company starts with innovation being a product or service leading to risk, management, sales and back to innovation. I will discuss steps in starting a business including funding sources to get started and the day-to-day activities necessary to keep the business in operation.  Owning a business can be a real challenge as you will see when I present case histories of three companies.
