Winter painting has been practiced for years on dormant bermudagrass putting greens as an alterative to sustain winter green color. Different practices and management approaches may have impacts to the winter painting quality. This study was designed to compare the winter turf quality between painted and overseeded greens with different mowing heights, fertilization treatments, and PGR treatments during the growing season. We found winter painted greens provide feasible putting green quality with enhanced spring green up.
