Non-destructive, subsurface soil investigation and mapping techniques are becoming more important in modern soil survey. The objective of this study will be to compare soil physical and chemical properties measured by tradition laboratory methods to non-destructive electromagnetic induction methods in soils derived from loess over Illinoisan till in southeast Indiana. Apparent conductivity surveys will be collected across a Fragiudalf-Glossaqualf catena during differing soil moisture conditions in no till systems. Ground reference data will include electrical conductivity of saturate paste extracts and soil morphology observations. Results will be discussed.
