Building Bridges Between Students and the Environment.

The Soil Water and Environmental Science (SWES) Club at the University of Arizona promotes student involvement in the surrounding community as well as student development through learning. In the past year, SWES Club students have been involved in highway cleanup activities, Envirothon and FFA Competitions, and the design and construction of a retaining wall to prevent soil erosion on the U of A campus. In addition the SWES Club supports the U of A Soil Judging Team which successfully competes both at the Regional and National level. SWES Club activities are an integral part of the U of A student learning environment.
