As a part of the Comprehensive Everglades Restoration Program (CERP), soil and water samples were collected and analyzed for phosphorus and sulfur from Everglades of Florida. Geographic Information System (GIS) was used to analyze and process the data. The results showed that canals were a major carrier of phosphorus and sulfur from farming areas to the wetland, phosphorus and sulfur precipitated and accumulated in soils or sediments could be a main contributor to degrade the wetland environment.
